What happened

American Express is ending its longstanding lounge agreement with Lufthansa Group. Effective October 1, 2026, the Amex Platinum Card will no longer offer access to Lufthansa Business Lounges (previously available to economy passengers) or Senator Lounges (previously available to business class passengers). The Amex Centurion Card will also lose access to Lufthansa First Lounges in Frankfurt and Munich. Access may still be possible via Priority Pass if specific locations participate, but the direct Lufthansa lounge benefit is being removed
