What happened
Citi is paying 1,100 Asia Miles per 1,000 ThankYou Points on transfers to Cathay Pacific from October 25 through November 14, 2026. The 10% bonus applies to premium ThankYou cards. Transfers must be at least 1,000 points in 1,000-point increments and usually post instantly.
Select no-annual-fee Citi cards receive 770 Asia Miles per 1,000 ThankYou Points. This is the first Citi bonus to Cathay since July 2024. Amex has cut its Asia Miles rate to 5:4, leaving Citi's 1,100-mile payout the stronger transfer.
Asia Miles often shows more Cathay premium-cabin space than partner programs. Cathay connecting awards allow only one layover of 24 hours or less.
Transfer only if an Asia Miles award is ready to book before November 14, 2026; a 10% bonus is not a reason to park points.
