What happened
Linked Scotiabank and Tangerine cards now take 6¢ per litre off instantly on any fuel grade at participating Shell stations through December 31, 2026. The extra 3¢ sits on the usual 3-cent Shell fuel benefit and posts at the pump with no extra registration beyond linking the card in Shell Go+.
The discount is capped at 1,000 litres per calendar month for each eligible card, and the linked card or its mobile-wallet token must be used to pay. It is not valid in Quebec or Atlantic Canada, and it excludes Yukon and Nunavut plus Shell Flying J locations. Every eligible debit and credit card gets the 6-cent cut. Scene+-earning Scotiabank cards, led by the Gold American Express, add V-Power extras.
Shell is advertising up to 13¢ per litre in value on V-Power by adding a 4¢/L extra plus up to 3¢/L of Scene+ points. Those extras do not apply to regular fuel. Scene+ earn stays at 1 point per litre. The instant discount stacks with other fuel discounts, including CAA's 3 cents per litre. Pay with the linked card through December 31, 2026 for the 6¢ pump cut on regular fuel and skip V-Power unless the car already needs premium.
