What happened
SAS will open a 3,700-square-meter flagship lounge at Copenhagen Airport in June 2027, on a single fourth-floor space in Terminal 3 rather than split across levels. The new lounge is planned to be roughly 40% larger than the current one.
Seating is planned for 1,095 guests, with capacity for as many as 4,000 visitors a day. Hotel-style rooms will be available for sleeping. The design adds 24 private work pods and runway views. A staffed bar will serve signature cocktails, and there will be a fresh bakery with an expanded barista offering. SAS says its highest-tier frequent flyers will get an exclusive zone.
The airline is tying the project to its plan to grow Copenhagen as its main hub, and renderings are already on display in the current lounge. There is nothing to book now, so watch the June 2027 opening if Copenhagen is a regular SAS connection.
