What happened
Vereinigung Cockpit (VC) announced that Lufthansa Group pilots will conduct a two-day strike from 12:01 AM Monday, April 13, 2026, to 11:59 PM Tuesday, April 14, 2026. The strike affects Lufthansa, Lufthansa CityLine, and Lufthansa Cargo. Eurowings pilots will strike exclusively on Monday, April 13. The strike impacts flights departing from Germany, with exceptions for essential services to and from the Middle East (Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Israel, Yemen, Jordan, Qatar, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE), which will operate as planned.
