Lufthansa Group Delays Dubai Restart to October 24, Confirms Tel Aviv and European Route Timelines

Lufthansa Group pushes its Dubai restart to October 24, 2026, while confirming Tel Aviv service begins in June-July across Austrian, Lufthansa, and SWISS, with Eurowings adding Hamburg and Düsseldorf

What happened

Lufthansa Group has updated its Middle East flight restart plan, delaying the return to Dubai (DXB/DWC) until October 24, 2026, aligning with the IATA Winter Season start. Tel Aviv (TLV) service resumes earlier: Austrian Airlines operates one daily flight from Vienna starting June 16, 2026; Lufthansa flies twice daily from Frankfurt starting July 1, 2026; and SWISS begins Zurich-Tel Aviv service on August 1, 2026. Eurowings adds four weekly flights to Hamburg (July 10) and Düsseldorf (July 18). Other Middle Eastern destinations including Abu Dhabi, Amman, Beirut, Dammam, Riyadh, Erbil, Muscat, and Tehran are suspended through October 24, 2026, with Eurowings' Beirut and Erbil suspensions ending June 30. Brussels Airlines will resume Tel Aviv service at a later date
