What happened
As of September 24, 2026, linking Blue Rewards and VIPorter credits 500 points in each program, with the VIPorter side posting within 48 hours. The 500 Blue Points post after the next Blue Point is earned. The welcome bonus is once per member. Accounts can be linked from Blue Rewards or Porter's site.
Linked members with any BMO credit or debit card earn an extra 1 VIPorter point per dollar on Porter base fares and add-ons, on top of the usual 5 to 7, or half a point without a BMO card. Extra points skip taxes and fees and round down. A BMO VIPorter card is not required. Using Blue Points to book Porter through Blue Rewards Travel returns up to 7,500 bonus Blue Points. Through November 30, 2026, BMO cardholders can earn up to 1,500 more on those redemptions. A 2:1 conversion of Blue Points into VIPorter points is promised in coming months with no date.
Link both accounts for the 500-point bonuses if already in both programs, and wait for the conversion before moving a large Blue Points balance.
