What happened
Frontier will install 2 rows of first class seats in a 2-2 configuration across its fleet for a formal launch on March 5, 2027. Seats sit on the Geven Comoda platform and remain pre-reclined. They do not recline and do not become lie-flat beds.
Conversions are due to start in late October 2026, and Frontier aims to have first class on every aircraft by launch. The airline plans to put tickets on sale for travel from March 5, 2027. Some passengers may sit in the new seats earlier as aircraft are converted. Frontier had aimed in early 2025 to introduce the cabin in late 2025, and that window closed without a debut.
There will be no first class catering. Buy-on-board food and drinks will be offered to every passenger. Power at the seat is expected and would be new for the airline. Starlink Wi-Fi is planned for mid-2027. Wait for published fares at the March 2027 sale and do not count on free drinks or a reclining seat.
