Etihad Guest members can now book award tickets on Bangkok Airways and Condor through Etihad's website, using the same Etihad award chart. Accrual of Guest miles on those carriers is still not live. Etihad signed partnership deals covering earning and redemption this year.
Bangkok Airways owns Koh Samui airport, a market with limited competition and often high cash fares. Nonstops run from Koh Samui to Singapore and Hong Kong, along with other regional flying. Condor awards now surface in Etihad search next to Etihad and other partners.
LoyaltyLobby reports that some short-haul economy partner awards look competitively priced. Partner business-class awards may offer poor value.
