What happened
Citi is offering a 30% transfer bonus on Citi ThankYou points to Preferred Hotels & Resorts' I Prefer Hotel Rewards program. The promotion runs from May 17 to June 13, 2026. The standard transfer ratio is 1:2 (1,000 Citi points = 2,000 I Prefer points); with the bonus, 1,000 Citi points converts to 2,600 I Prefer points. The bonus is hard-coded into the transfer tool, applies to unlimited transfers, and transfers are generally instant. This is the first transfer bonus since I Prefer was added as a partner in late 2024, following a recent devaluation of the base ratio from 1:4 to 1:2. The program consists of independent luxury hotels like Baccarat and Post Ranch Inn, with estimated redemption values around 0.5 cents per point
