What happened
The Citi Custom Cash Card is being discontinued as part of ongoing portfolio management. Internal documents shared on Reddit confirm the card will no longer be available through new customer acquisition channels starting May 29, 2026. Existing cardmembers will not be affected, and their rewards and benefits will remain unchanged. Applications already in progress will continue to be processed. Citi notes that the Citi Double Cash card will remain available for new applicants. Product changes may be available even after discontinuation, though this is not guaranteed
