What happened
Chase now lets Sapphire, Freedom and Ink cardholders redeem Ultimate Rewards at 100 points per dollar as cash into an eligible J.P. Morgan investment account. The new option appears under Convert to Cash on the Ultimate Rewards page as Invest Your Points.
Redemptions go only to a J.P. Morgan Self-Directed Investing account or certain taxable advisor-managed J.P. Morgan accounts. Cash is generally ready to invest in 3 business days after the redemption is submitted. Cardholders complete it on Chase.com or the Chase app by selecting a card and an eligible account, then a point amount. Redeeming 50,000 points deposits $500.
Ignore Invest Your Points unless an eligible J.P. Morgan brokerage already needs cash; partner transfers remain the better use of Ultimate Rewards.
