Beginning Sept. 20, 2026, the Chase Freedom Flex will no longer offer complimentary cellphone protection. Eligible losses incurred through Sept. 19, 2026, remain covered. Previously, the benefit provided up to $800 per approved claim for damage or theft (subject to a $50 deductible), with a maximum of two claims per 12-month period and a $1,000 annual maximum. Cardholders seeking to maintain this perk will need to move their monthly wireless bill to another card, such as the Amex Platinum, Capital One Venture X, or Ink Business Preferred
