BMO eclipse Visa Infinite Privilege drops 2.5% foreign fee

Expires Oct 31

What happened

BMO eclipse Visa Infinite Privilege moved existing cardholders to new terms on November 2, 2026, dropping the 2.5% foreign-transaction fee at the same $599 annual fee. Visa Airport Companion lounge visits rose from 6 to 10 a year and require enrolment before the first visit.

The $200 lifestyle credit is now a $200 travel statement credit after one $500 or larger airfare, hotel or car-rental charge, posting within 30 business days. Smaller purchases cannot be combined. Travel-agency and OTA bookings may not trigger the credit. Health and wellness now earns 5x and drugstores no longer do. The card still uses a standard exchange rate and does not earn 5x abroad. An extra cardholder for $99 a year raises earning 25% for as long as BMO keeps that introductory boost.

New cardholders applying through October 31, 2027 can still earn 200,000 points, now after $40,000 spend in 12 months, down from $75,000. The first 110 days earn 80,000 points after $10,000, versus the old $6,000 first-tier spend. Enrol in Visa Airport Companion before the first lounge visit and use one $500+ direct travel purchase to trigger the credit.
