American expands Pecan Lodge barbecue to all DFW first-class meals

What happened

American Airlines will put Pecan Lodge Central Texas-style barbecue on every lunch and dinner flight departing Dallas Fort Worth from September 9, 2026, for domestic first-class passengers who pre-order at least 20 hours ahead via the American website or app. The barbecue has been limited to two DFW routes since early 2026.

The airline tied the partnership to its 2026 centennial and to regional food at its Texas hub. Lunch is a smoked chopped brisket sandwich on brioche with potato salad. Dinner is a platter of smoked brisket and smoked sausage with mac and cheese. Breakfast flights and flights into DFW are not included.

Domestic first-class passengers who originate or connect at DFW can pre-order the meal on any lunch or dinner departure instead of only those two routes.

Pre-order at least 20 hours before an American domestic first-class lunch or dinner departure from DFW on or after September 9, 2026.
