What happened
Air Transat opened Staria, its free no-status loyalty program, to everyone on November 2, 2026, after suspending BonBon in 2025. Stars rewards are limited to members 18 and older.
Members earn 3 points per dollar on Eco Budget fares and carrier surcharges. Eco Standard and Club Standard fares earn 5. Eco Flex and Club Flex fares earn 7. Transat packages earn 1 point per dollar. Points post only after the flight.
There is no award chart and pricing is dynamic. Prince of Travel priced a Montreal to Paris Eco Budget one-way at 38,800 points for the fare and surcharge, or about 1 cent per point, leaving taxes in cash. Points can pay 10% to 100% of a flight's fare and surcharge in set increments, or 10% to 40% of a package. They cannot be bought or transferred. They expire after 36 months of inactivity.
Join if Air Transat is already the carrier and treat Staria as a 3% Eco Budget rebate rather than a currency to stockpile.
