What happened
Air Canada will operate an Airbus A321XLR between Montréal and Seville from 8 September 2027, and tickets are already on sale. Overnight AC958 leaves at 20:30 and arrives at 09:30. AC959 returns at 12:45 and lands at 14:40. The route starts three times a week, moves to four from 1 October, pauses from early January to mid-February 2028, then runs through early June.
The new cabin has 14 lie-flat Signature Class seats and 168 in economy. At 3,450 miles the sector falls in Aeroplan's lowest North America to Europe band. One-way Air Canada awards in that band are 32,500 points in economy or 60,000 in business at the chart floor. The 15% discount on Air Canada awards from Canadian Aeroplan cards applies on both directions. Dynamic pricing often sits above those rates, and Signature Class space will be scarce.
The evening Montréal departure should connect from across Canada, and YUL has US preclearance for onward US travel. Days of operation have not been published.
Watch for Aeroplan space early if this route is needed in fall 2027.
