What happened
Air Canada will award Aeroplan 25K at 8,000 SQC in a 90-day challenge for Hyatt Explorists and Globalists. That is about one-third of the usual annual requirement. Explorists cannot go higher. Globalists can hit 35K at 12,000 SQC, then 50K at 17,000 or 75K at 25,000.
Eligible members are Explorists or Globalists in good standing at registration, with Aeroplan already linked and no equal or higher Aeroplan elite valid through the following year. Registration can take 48 hours. Economy Standard earns 2 SQC per dollar. Flex or higher earns 4. Only Air Canada, Express and Rouge flights plus Air Canada-ticketed (014) Star Alliance and select partner flying in Economy Standard or higher count. Basic fares and awards earn none. Card spend and promotional SQC are excluded. Flights must depart in the 90-day window, and SQC can still post during a 120-day crediting period after it ends. One attempt per calendar year.
Aeroplan 50K is Star Alliance Gold and needs 4,250 CAD of Flex-or-higher tickets or 8,500 of Economy Standard. Register only with enough eligible Air Canada travel already booked, and aim for 50K Gold so a late-2026 attempt leaves 2027 free while January 2027 start holds through January 2029.
