What happened
Paying DINR Premium members can now earn Aeroplan points on restaurant reservations in Canada after linking an Aeroplan number on an account in the same name, with at least 100 points per completed booking.
A first paid Premium year credits 1,000 bonus points. The membership costs $95 a year plus tax, and that bonus does not apply to renewals or free memberships. Complimentary Wealthsimple memberships are unlikely to receive it either. Cancelled reservations and no-shows earn nothing, and bookings made before the number is linked do not count. Eligible event tickets and other DINR purchases earn 1 point per dollar. Taxes and delivery fees are excluded, along with deposits. Points can take up to 30 days to post.
DINR is a Canada-wide restaurant booking platform that also runs Air Canada's Best New Restaurants ranking. Some Toronto restaurants are listed at the 100-point rate. Paying the restaurant bill with an Aeroplan credit card can add extra dining earn on top of reservation points.
Buy DINR Premium only if the dining perks already justify $95 a year.
