What happened
Wells Fargo is making several changes to its rewards program structure. The most significant change is the end of Combined Rewards Accounts, meaning rewards earned across multiple Wells Fargo cards will remain tied to the individual card rather than being pooled into a single balance. Additionally, the ability to gift rewards to other customers is being discontinued. Finally, automatic redemptions (for statement credits, deposits, etc.) will be replaced by manual redemption processes. These changes take effect on September 25, 2026
