Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin, in an interview with Fox News, proposed a "hard look" at removing customs processing from international airports in "sanctuary cities." The threat targets cities where local authorities limit cooperation with federal immigration enforcement, including Boston, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, New York, Newark, Philadelphia, Seattle, and San Francisco. While not an official policy change yet, the implication is that these major hubs could lose their ability to process international arrivals, effectively disrupting international flight operations at the country's busiest airports
