Thai Government Reduces Visa Waiver to 30 Days, Adds 15-Day Exemption for Indians

Thailand is reverting visa-free entry from 60 to 30 days for most countries and introducing a new 15-day visa exemption for Indian nationals, effective after Royal Gazette publication

What happened

The Thai cabinet has revised immigration policies, abolishing the 60-day visa exemption for 93 countries and reverting to a standard 30-day visa-free stay for 59 countries. A key change is the introduction of a 15-day visa exemption for Indian nationals, replacing their previous Visa on Arrival status. Other new entitlements include visa-free access for Croatia, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Malta, and the Maldives. Visa on Arrival will be available for Azerbaijan, Belarus, and Serbia. The changes take effect 15 days after publication in the Royal Gazette
