Qatar Airways Resumes Daily Flights to Philadelphia Starting August 2026

Qatar Airways will resume daily Doha-Philadelphia service on August 1, 2026, using Airbus A350-900 aircraft, taking over the route from American Airlines

What happened

Qatar Airways has officially announced the resumption of daily flights between Doha (DOH) and Philadelphia (PHL) starting August 1, 2026. The carrier will operate flights QR727 (DOH to PHL, departing 8:00 AM) and QR728 (PHL to DOH, departing 9:30 PM) using Airbus A350-900 aircraft. The route was previously cut by Qatar in October 2023 when American Airlines launched its own Doha service from New York, but American has now suspended and effectively ended its Doha route, allowing Qatar to return. The service provides connectivity to Africa, Asia, and the Middle East via Hamad International Airport
