Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) officially became President Donald J. Trump International Airport effective July 9, 2026, with its three-letter IATA code changing to DJT. The change followed legislation introduced by Rep. Meg Weinberger in November 2025, passed by the Florida Legislature in February 2026, and signed by Gov. Ron DeSantis in March 2026. The FAA issued alerts to air traffic controllers, and airline websites are updating to reflect DJT. A trademark deal with Trump's companies allows for branded merchandise and veto power over biographical displays, though no royalties are paid to Trump. More than 10 U.S. commercial airports are currently named after former presidents
