What happened
Global Hotel Alliance is selling Discovery Dollars to all GHA Discovery members at USD 0.85 each from October 22 through November 19, 2026, capped at D$5,000. The minimum purchase is D$10. Every tier qualifies.
Each dollar credits USD 1 against eligible stay charges at participating hotels. Purchased dollars expire 24 months from issuance. They post to the membership account used at Points.com checkout and cannot be refunded. Not every GHA hotel accepts Discovery Dollars. Dollars cannot cover taxes or fees. They also cannot be applied to stays booked through online travel agents or wholesalers. Points accrue only on the cash left after dollars are applied. The promotion cannot be combined with other offers unless GHA states otherwise. GHA may withdraw the sale at any time.
Bought dollars can cut the cash rate by 15% on eligible flexible rates at hotels that accept them. Titanium's 7% earn rate and frequent bonus-dollar promotions keep the 15% purchase discount modest.
Buy only against eligible GHA stays already planned within 24 months.
