Garuda Indonesia Stops Selling First Class on All Flights

Effective immediately, Garuda Indonesia has halted the sale of first class tickets across its entire network through the end of the current schedule, leaving only one active aircraft with the cabin

Why it matters

What happened

Garuda Indonesia has stopped selling first class on all flights effective immediately through the end of the schedule. The airline historically operated first class on only two of its eight Boeing 777-300ERs, which are also used as presidential planes. One of these aircraft (PK-GIG) has been parked since January 2026, leaving only one active plane (PK-GIF) with the cabin. Previously, first class was primarily offered on the Jakarta (CGK) to Amsterdam (AMS) route and, since summer 2025, on the Bali (DPS) to Tokyo Narita (NRT) route. This suspension means premium cabin availability is now limited to passengers already booked or those who can secure award space on the single active aircraft
