BermudAir plans to acquire up to 20 Airbus A220-300 aircraft by 2030, following an initial order placed by affiliated company Odyssey in March 2026. The airline currently operates a small fleet of four used Embraer aircraft (two E175s and two E190s). The new A220s will feature a three-class configuration with 135 seats and are intended to support growth across Bermuda, the Caribbean, Central and North America, and the wider Atlantic region. This includes opening new nonstop routes and adding capacity on existing services where infrastructure constraints limit larger aircraft. The move signals a shift from the carrier's earlier all-business class concept and its recent focus on random Caribbean/Central America routes, raising questions about its long-term business model sustainability
