What happened
Avianca LifeMiles is selling miles with a bonus of up to 145% from October 12 through October 20, 2026. The bonus is 125% on 1,000 to 20,000 miles and 135% on 21,000 to 50,000 miles. The 145% rate applies from 51,000 miles up to the 200,000-mile cap per transaction before bonus. Miles bought at 145% cost 1.35 US cents each. A 1,000-mile package is USD 33.00 excluding taxes and USD 40.26 including taxes.
The sale is email-only and non-transferable. It is blocked for members whose LifeMiles residence is in many Latin American countries. Purchases run in 1,000-mile increments with a 1,000-mile minimum and are non-reversible and non-refundable except where law requires. Bought miles post immediately and count toward elite progress except Status Magno. They can expire even after a redemption. Flown Avianca miles are still required to reach status. Members can receive at most 1,000,000 miles in a calendar year, including bonus miles.
LifeMiles can work for premium-cabin Star Alliance awards, but this sale is not the lowest recent LifeMiles price and award space can be scarce. Buy only against a usable award that can be booked now, because LifeMiles has sold at lower cents-per-mile with higher bonuses.
