Air New Zealand has announced that its Skynest economy bunk beds are now available for purchase on select long-haul flights between New York (JFK) and Auckland (AKL). Starting in late December, passengers can book a pod of six beds (bunked three high) in four-hour blocks for $495. The beds are 6 feet 6 inches long and approximately 25 inches wide at the shoulders. Amenities include fresh linens, a pillow, a blanket, a USB-A/C charging outlet, and a 'Nestcessities' kit with eye mask, socks, earplugs, dental kit, and skincare. Rules include no eating, no audio without headphones, and no shoes. This represents a new paid product option within economy class for this specific route
