World of Hyatt is implementing a new five-tier award chart on May 20, 2026, increasing point costs for luxury and peak stays. Staff advise booking before the deadline to avoid higher rates

## Summary

World of Hyatt is changing its award pricing structure to a five-tier model, effective May 20, 2026. The changes introduce higher point costs, particularly impacting luxury properties like Park Hyatt and stays during peak school-break periods, where costs may rise 40%-67%. While the program retains a fixed award chart (avoiding full dynamic pricing), the move is seen as a devaluation for frequent redeemers. TPG staffers recommend booking award stays before May 20 to secure current pricing, noting that Hyatt will implement changes gradually in 2026 with broader adoption in subsequent years. The change affects the value proposition for users redeeming Chase Ultimate Rewards points
