# Bilt drops 4% Bilt Cash for new cardholders in 2027

## Summary

Cardholders of record on December 31, 2026 can decline most of the 2027 card changes, which take effect January 1, 2027, and keep 4% Bilt Cash on everyday spend. The same treatment applies to anyone who applies and is approved, then accepts a Bilt offer before January 1, 2027.

From January 2027, new cardholders earn only 1.25 points per dollar on rent or mortgage, with no 4% Bilt Cash on everyday spend. New Palladium accounts get the $400 hotel credits converted to $400 in Bilt Cash. Legacy Palladium holders keep the credits and may add $100 of Bilt Cash twice a year to reduce a hotel stay by as much as $300.

Redeeming $200 in Bilt Cash adds an extra point per dollar on the next $5,000 of spend, taking Palladium from 2 to 3 points per dollar. Using every accelerator takes $1,000 in Bilt Cash a year. New Palladium accounts get $600 a year and Obsidian $100. Both also get $50 per 25,000 points, which may not cover that.

Apply for Palladium or Obsidian and accept the offer before January 1, 2027 to keep 4% Bilt Cash and the hotel credits.
