Seats.aero has released a new AI Assistant that merges live award availability with expert transfer partner advice, allowing users to chat for redemption optimization and trip planning

## Summary

Seats.aero, a popular tool for finding award availability across multiple loyalty programs, has launched a new AI Assistant feature. The tool aims to combine live award pricing with expert redemption advice, such as identifying the best transfer partner for a specific flight. Key capabilities include:
- Answering questions about airline routes, alliances, transfer partners, loyalty programs, cabins, and live award availability.
- Assisting with trip planning by identifying operators, schedules, and nearby airport alternatives.
- Providing cash fare comparisons and airline product comparisons.
- Conducting live hotel award searches via its sister site, Rooms.aero.
- Offering general travel information like destination weather and airport tips. The article notes limitations: the AI cannot provide live availability for programs not supported by Seats.aero, and the interface currently lacks features like chat history search or external links. The tool is positioned as a one-stop shop for travel planning and redemption optimization

## Why it matters

Affects 7 airline programs (American Airlines, Etihad, JAL...). Spans 2 hotel programs (Hilton Honors, World of Hyatt). Card-issuer angle via Capital One, Chase, Citi. New route or product — useful for award booking and positioning flights.
