What happened
Qanot Sharq has announced plans to launch flights between Tashkent and New York, commencing on May 3, 2026. The route will operate twice weekly (Wednesdays and Sundays) with the following schedule: HH101 departs Tashkent at 11:20 AM arriving in New York at 3:40 PM, and HH102 departs New York at 5:10 PM arriving in Tashkent at 2:40 PM (+1 day). The 6,338-mile flight has a block time of 13 hours 20 minutes westbound and 12 hours 30 minutes eastbound. Tickets are expected to go on sale soon. The airline will use an Airbus A330-200 featuring 266 seats: 18 business class (flat beds in 2-2-2 configuration) and 248 economy. The aircraft are former Air China planes delivered in 2024-2025, averaging 15 years old, with no Wi-Fi and no alcohol. This marks Qanot Sharq's longest route to date, competing with Uzbekistan Airways which also serves the route with up to five weekly flights
