# French unions warn of Air France walkout Oct 17 to 21

Unions representing 36,000 cockpit and crew members have called a walkout at Air France from October 17 to 21, 2026, over pension changes that would prevent staff from taking a pension while remaining employed. The unions have also asked remaining staff to stay off the job on those dates.

The dates coincide with the start of a French fall school holiday. Other carriers that employ France-based crews could be affected too.
