Marriott Bonvoy updated its Best Rate Guarantee terms, limiting eligible matches to reservations with 1 or 2 guests and removing the refund policy requirement from qualifying comparison rates

## Summary

Marriott Bonvoy has updated the terms and conditions for its Best Rate Guarantee (BRG). Key changes include: - **Guest Limit:** Marriott will now only match rates for reservations with 1 or 2 guests. This change makes it impossible for families finding cheaper rates elsewhere to get them matched.
- **Refund Policy:** The requirement for the comparison rate to have the same refund policy has been removed altogether.
- **Submission Window:** Claims must be submitted within 24 hours of booking the Marriott reservation and at least 24 hours before standard check-in.
- **Qualifying Rate:** The comparison rate must be for the same hotel, room, bed type, number of guests (up to 2), same inclusions (e.g., breakfast), reservation dates, and cancellation policy on a non-Marriott website or app

## Why it matters

Spans 2 hotel programs (Marriott, Marriott Bonvoy).
