## Summary

Marriott Bonvoy and Japan Airlines Mileage Bank have launched a new preferred partnership. Key features include: - **Points Transfer:** Marriott points transfer to JAL miles at a 3:1 ratio (standard); JAL miles transfer to Marriott at 4:3.
- **Status Match/Challenge:** JAL Mileage Bank members can receive complimentary or accelerated Marriott status with a challenge to retain it. Marriott Bonvoy members can receive 2,000 to 40,000 FLY ON points toward JAL status depending on their Marriott tier.
- **oneworld Elite Path:** Marriott Titanium and Ambassador members can earn enough FLY ON points to unlock oneworld Sapphire status (requiring 50,000 FLY ON points), provided they also fly enough on Japan Airlines to meet the minimum flight requirement. The partnership is primarily valuable for those with existing travel plans on Japan Airlines or high-tier Marriott status looking to leverage it for airline elite benefits
