What happened
JetBlue has confirmed plans to introduce a new premium cabin, branded as 'Mini Mint,' across its fleet of aircraft that do not currently feature the full Mint product. The rollout begins in the second half of 2026, with certification underway and the first prototype installation slated for June 2026. Widespread reconfiguration is expected to start around August 2026, with approximately 20 planes reconfigured per month. The new cabin will feature 12-16 seats per plane, utilizing the Collins Aerospace MiQ seat. JetBlue plans to install three to four rows of first class on all aircraft types. To accommodate this, the airline will reduce economy seat pitch from 32 inches to 30 inches, while EvenMore (extra legroom) will have 35 inches and the new first class will have 36-37 inches. Approximately 20% of the non-Mint fleet will have the product by the end of 2026, with a vast majority covered by the end of 2027. The reconfiguration will prioritize the oldest A320s first
