Hyatt Regency Rome Central, a new Category 4 property near Termini Station, has delayed its grand opening for the sixth time. Revenue bookings open September 1, 2026, but World of Hyatt award availability is paused until at least November 1, 2026

## Summary

The Hyatt Regency Rome Central near Termini Station has delayed its opening for the sixth time, with the website now listing the opening for September 1, 2026. While revenue rates are loaded for September, World of Hyatt points awards are not available until November 1, 2026, at the earliest. This delay has caused concern among members who may have booked revenue stays or are planning redemptions. There is speculation that Hyatt is withholding points bookings for September and October to avoid further disruptions if the opening is delayed again. The property is classified as a Category 4, which is notable for Rome where most hotels are Category 6. Travelers have faced challenges with cancellations and lack of relocation offers. The delay impacts redemption planning for this new, high-demand location
