Cathay Pacific is canceling all Sunday departures from Hong Kong (July 26) due to Typhoon Noul, waiving rebooking and refund fees, and advising passengers to check their status

## Summary

Cathay Pacific has canceled all departing flights on Sunday, July 26, 2026, between 1:15 AM and 6 PM local time due to Typhoon Noul. The airline is automatically rebooking affected customers onto the next available flights. For tickets issued on or before July 24, 2026, Cathay is waiving rebooking, rerouting, and refund charges. Passengers can change their travel dates to any day before September 30, 2026, subject to seat availability. Any fare or tax difference between the original and new itinerary still applies. Passengers traveling ex-UK/EU/EEA retain rights under EC 261/2004 and UK261, including potential accommodation, meals, and compensation for delays, which are not waived for weather events. The airline notes that its online booking system has experienced outages, and operations may take several days to normalize
