## Summary

British Airways Executive Club has launched a limited-time promotion offering a 40% bonus on purchased Avios. The offer runs from now until April 27, 2026, at 23:59 BST. Key details:
- Eligibility: Applies to purchases of 2,000 or more Avios.
- Cost: The cost per Avios decreases with volume, starting at approximately 1.64 cents per Avios (USD) at the most favorable rate. Canadian members pay in USD, translating to roughly 2.2–3 cents per Avios (CAD).
- Limits: The 200,000 base Avios annual purchase cap still applies, but bonus points do not count toward this limit. Total potential acquisition is up to 280,000 Avios.
- Payment: Processed via Points.com. Co-branded cards like the RBC British Airways Visa Infinite do not earn category bonuses. Recommended payment methods include cards with strong baseline earning rates (e.g., Amex Business Platinum, RBC Avion Visa Infinite Privilege, Capital One Venture X) or cards with no foreign transaction fees.
- Strategy: Best used for specific redemptions on partner airlines (e.g., Aer Lingus) where BA's high taxes and fees are avoided, or when the cost per point is lower than the redemption value
