# BA raises Silver to 8,000 tier points and cuts Club World bonuses

## Summary

British Airways will raise The Club Silver requirement from 7,500 to 8,000 tier points and Gold from 20,000 to 21,000 from 1 April 2027, while cutting long-haul Club World Standard bonuses from 500 to 200 for travel from that date on tickets booked from 25 November 2026.

The Club year ending 31 March 2027 is unchanged. Bronze stays at 3,500 tier points. Bronze still comes after 25 British Airways-coded flights and Silver after 50. Members still earn 1 tier point per eligible pound plus a fare and route bonus.

First Standard long-haul bonuses fall from 650 to 300 and World Traveller Plus Standard from 275 to 175 on the same tickets. Those cuts also apply on American Airlines and Iberia. Long-haul World Traveller and intra-European bonuses do not change, so a Club Europe bonus can now land near the reduced Club World amount. AwardWallet puts Gold at about 18 trips on a £1,000 long-haul business fare, up from 14.

Qualify by 31 March 2027 if Silver or Gold is close - long-haul premium tickets booked from 25 November 2026 credit fewer bonus tier points.
