British Airways will raise the cash portion of Avios award tickets starting May 27, 2026. Examples include a Club World roundtrip to JFK requiring £499 cash and Euro Traveller to Amsterdam requiring £2.50

## Summary

British Airways announced that the cash component of its Avios Reward Flights will increase significantly effective May 27, 2026. The change affects only the cash portion, not the Avios required. Examples of new pricing for off-peak dates:
- Round trip Club World (London Heathrow to New York JFK): 176,000 Avios + £499
- Round trip World Traveller (London Heathrow to Cape Town): 66,000 Avios + £190
- One-way Club Europe (London Heathrow to Rome): 22,000 Avios + £20
- One-way Euro Traveller (London Heathrow to Amsterdam): 10,000 Avios + £2.50 Prices are subject to availability. Award flights booked prior to the effective date will remain at the current price. The airline also noted that fuel and carrier surcharges remain separate and can be substantial, particularly on premium cabin awards from the US
