British Airways updated its general conditions of carriage to allow removal of passengers who film crew without consent, with potential penalties including ticket cancellation

## Summary

British Airways has updated its general conditions of carriage, specifically section 11a regarding unacceptable onboard behavior. The airline now explicitly states that if they reasonably believe a passenger has filmed, live-streamed, or photographed crew members without consent, they may take reasonable measures to stop the behavior. Violations can result in being forced off the aircraft, refusal to carry passengers on remaining sectors, or involvement of law enforcement. This change addresses the increasing trend of passengers filming crew for social media or complaints

## Why it matters

Affects 2 airline programs (British Airways, Qatar Airways). Card-issuer angle via American Express.
