## Summary

British Airways will raise London Heathrow to Las Vegas to twice daily from 13 flights a week in summer 2027, with Cincinnati and St. Louis going daily and San Francisco moving to three daily flights, instead of launching new U.S. cities. Planning chief Neil Chernoff said secondary U.S. markets remain interesting but declined to name cities.

British Airways already serves 27 U.S. destinations, the most of any European airline. The Points Guy notes that among the 40 largest U.S. metros without its flights is Columbus. Air France and United are among rivals adding transatlantic nonstops to secondary markets. New secondary cities would likely start on the 787-8, of which the airline has 12 and no orders for more. Aer Lingus is ending Las Vegas along with Denver and Minneapolis. Iberia has not announced new 2027 U.S. destinations.

Points travellers get more British Airways metal on existing Heathrow to U.S. routes and potentially more Avios seats, while new secondary-city nonstops in summer 2027 will come from other transatlantic carriers. Watch summer 2027 British Airways schedules for extra frequencies on those four Heathrow routes, and look to Air France or United for a new secondary-city nonstop.
