# Bilt Cash expires on a rolling 12-month basis from 2027

Bilt will retire 4% Bilt Cash earning for anyone who opens a card after December 31, 2026. New 2027 cardholders earn housing-only rewards. Those rewards top out at 1.25 points per dollar on rent or mortgage payments. Current cardholders keep Flexible Bilt Cash if they already hold a card or open one by December 31, 2026.

From January 1, 2027, Bilt Cash expires 12 months after it is earned. The new clock applies retroactively. It replaces a December 31 expiration that let only $100 roll over. Hotel Cash use drops from monthly to twice a year on stays of two nights or more, with Palladium capped at $200 per redemption.

On January 15, 2027, Palladium's $200 annual Cash and $400 hotel credits become $600 in Bilt Cash, posted on the card anniversary. Obsidian's $100 hotel credit becomes $100 in Bilt Cash. Daily Rewards start the same day after on-time housing payments. Grand prizes include $1 million toward a home or 10 million Bilt Points. Odds were not disclosed.

Have or open a Bilt card by December 31, 2026 to keep Flexible Bilt Cash, then decide before the 2027 anniversary whether to opt out of the new credit structure.
