# Bilt retires 4% Flexible Bilt Cash unless holders opt out

## Summary

Bilt will default cards to housing-only rewards of up to 1.25x points on rent or mortgage from each holder's next anniversary, retiring 4% Flexible Bilt Cash on everyday spend unless the holder opts out in the Bilt app first. After that anniversary the choice is locked. Applicants through December 31, 2026 can still pick Flexible Bilt Cash. Approvals from January 1, 2027 receive housing-only rewards only.

Palladium's $400 hotel credit becomes extra Bilt Cash for $600 annually, and Obsidian's $100 hotel credit becomes $100 in Bilt Cash, unless the holder stays on Flexible Bilt Cash. Portal hotel redemptions fall from monthly use up to $1,200 a year to twice a year, with a $50 semi-annual cap for Blue and Silver members and a $200 semi-annual cap for Palladium. A two-night minimum still applies. Bilt Cash will expire on a rolling 12-month window from the month earned, instead of at calendar year-end with a $100 rollover.

Opt out in the Bilt app before the card anniversary to keep 4% Flexible Bilt Cash, or apply by December 31, 2026 if there is no card yet.
