American Express will narrow the Business Gold card's 4x advertising and wireless categories to named U.S. merchants only on February 17, 2027. The card will still pick the 2 categories with the most spend each billing cycle for 4x, capped at $150,000 per calendar year.

Advertising 4x will then apply only to online, television or radio ads billed directly to Meta, Google, Amazon, Microsoft, GoDaddy or Yelp.
