As of July 30, 2026, American Airlines has enabled AAdvantage members to book award flights on Oman Air directly via aa.com, with rates starting at 40,000 miles to Southeast Asia

## Summary

American Airlines has officially rolled out award redemptions on Oman Air, effective July 30, 2026. The change allows AAdvantage members to book Oman Air flights directly on aa.com, a significant update given Oman Air joined the oneworld alliance in June 2025 but did not immediately offer partner award availability. Key redemption rates include:
- 40,000 AAdvantage miles for flights from Muscat to Southeast Asia
- 42,500 AAdvantage miles for flights from Muscat to Europe Oman Air operates a fleet of Boeing 787s (featuring Apex Suites) and Boeing 737s. While the 787 product is highly rated, travelers should note that some long-haul routes may be served by 737s with recliner business class seats. This expansion provides new value for AAdvantage members traveling between the Middle East, Europe, Southeast Asia, and Africa, especially as other Gulf carriers like Etihad and Qatar Airways restrict partner award space
